These are CD cases
This is Digipak
- The differences between CD cases and Digipak are: We can see two types of Cases (Digipak and CD). The first one is a normal regular CD case. It usually only consists one CD player inside it. CD’s are very cheap to buy however they are very fragile and can break very easily. It is used as a protection for the CD. These CD cases are the old traditional cases that are mainly bought. However with the proliferation of technology, the purchase of CD cases has largely dropped as one can now legally download songs from the web or iTunes.
Moreover, we can see that Digipak has more inner-folds and can be used to store a lot more CD’s. Digipaks allow cd’s to be stored and folded up into one square piece. This is very effective as the artists album can all be available in one digipak. The artists may even decide to insert lyrics in the Digipak as it offers lots of space storage. The Digipak is made up of cardboard and it is less likely to break compared to the CD case. However like the CD the use of technology has massively increased meaning that people do not need to buy digipaks anymore as music is now available online.
Taking both of these into consideration I believe that the Digipak is more useful and rated by people. This is because the Digipak offers a variety of space for a lot of CD’s. However the CD only consist of one CD and can brake very easily.
- The reason I feel Digipak is better: Firstly, a digipak has more folds so it can introduce the information more clearly and better than a CD cases. Also, because it has more folder, so it can give more pictures about the album and the artist. Moreover, it can makes the album looks more comprehensive. Overall, I think a digipak is better than a CD cases.
